Michael Jackson's This Is It was a planned concert of 50 shows. Michael created this show, because he wanted to return to the stage after 13 years, since his HIStory Tour in 1997. After the O2 Arena was built in London, Michael wanted to be the one of the first artists to perform there. Kenny Ortega, a director and cheographer planned to help Michael with his tour. He set up auditions for back-up dancers and singers, and also musicians. The crew worked really hard rehearsing This Is It. The rehearsals began in April to June, 2009. Also, the tour included visual affects and short films.
